Under 5 could not put them together themselves.However they enjoyed playing with them and thought they were a great easter egg gift.Consumer ValueWonderful toys for my little grandkids!!!I bought these for my 4.5 year old son's Easter basket and he was so incredibly happy and excited when he saw them. Unfortunately, the very 1st egg we opened and assembled was missing one of the specialty pieces to assemble the dinosaur leg, a piece that we couldn't find in all of our other lego stash....so that was pretty disappointing for him. We have built 2 more since and they have had all the appropriate pieces, and the instructions are easy to follow. The other eggs ended up having a few extra pieces, but unfortunately not an extra of the pivot/moving piece that was missing from the 1st egg. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the one missing piece.Brought for Easter baskets for the grandsons , I did break down & give them one before Easter & it was a hit .I assumed someone bought lego parts and assembled these kits... I was wrong. These are not real LEGO parts so they don't fit as well together with gaps showing in the final build plus they fall apart easier than LEGOs. The kids then got these pieces mixed into the real LEGOs and its going to be hard to separate out all the false pieces. For that reason, I should have stuck to LEGO kits only.The pieces fit well together. A lot of the times when it’s not LEGO brand, the quality and the fit of the pieces is not the best. This one is amazing and the kids loved them! The only one tiny issue is that the instructions are hard to understand at times, that’s why 4 stars. Not for younger kidsI was searching for unique chocolates and toys for Easter and these eggs popped up. My young grandson is going through a serious dinosaur phase so I bought them. He loves them. It took him a couple of afternoons to assemble them but he likes showing them off to everyone.
